Overview
A flagship product for Cowlar Design Studio, the Smart Cart enables a frictionless "Amazon Go" style checkout experience directly on the cart. I was responsible for the Sensors App, mainly, and 4 other embedded Android apps, from the user space drivers to the high-level Android application handling perception and user interaction.
Key Contributions
- ●Developed Sensor App to manage barcode scanners, camera devices and 9 axis IMU data. [Internal Owner]
- ●Implemented a JNI bridge to run high-performance C USB detection driver within the Android environment.
- ●Contributed to 5 custom Android applications (Kotlin) running on an RK3588 SoC to interface with the hardware.
- ●Designed a custom OTA update mechanism for fleet management.
